Only 7.1% of Dyffryn Gwyrfai Houses are in EPC Rating Band A-C

The latest figures from ONS show only 7.1% of the dyffryn Gwyrfai housing stock, from Caeathro to Waunfawr to Rhyd-Ddu are in EPC bands A-C.

This compares to 24.6% across Gwynedd (the third worst county in the UK) and 48% across the UK. Likely to be the worst housing stock anywhere across Wales and the UK, with the fuel poverty level perhaps over 60% of homes.

Which is why Gwyrfai Gwyrdd is being established, to make a difference to our communities, raising the standards of our housing stock, bringing in new resources, reducing the costs of our electricity, and ensuring that independent energy advice is available to all.
